Q1: I am a Filipino citizen applying for an entry visa to travel to another country as a tourist / short-term visitor at this time of Covid-19. Can I get a letter of endorsement from the Philippine Embassy in Tehran for this purpose?
A: The Philippine Embassy does not issue any endorsement letter to support the personal and private travel of Filipinos to another country. The issuance of endorsement letters, guarantee letters, introduction letter and any other similar document is not among the list of consular services the embassy provides.
Q2: I want to travel to the Philippines. Can I submit my application for entry visa now to the Consular Section of the PHL Embassy in Tehran?
A: The Republic of the Philippines regulates the entry of foreign nationals during this period of Covid-19 global pandemic. The national policy on entry of foreigners is formulated in Manila, by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) in consultation with various national agencies and the PHL Embassy in Tehran merely implements the directives of the National Government.
