(15 June 2018) -- The following guidelines on visa applications pursuant to Foreign Service Circular No.14-2018 shall be implemented effective 01 July 2018:

I - Already Admitted to a University

All foreign visa applicants 18 years old and above who are seeking to enter the Philippines for purposes of long-term study of a regular degree course or academic program for college and above offered by a duly-accredited university or learning institution authorized to admit foreign students must secure an appropriate "9F STUDENT VISA" from the Philippine Embassy in their country of origin before travelling to the Philippines.

The requirements are as follows:

  1. Personal appearance for interview.
  2. Original + 1 copy of the NOTICE of ACCEPTANCE issued by the admitting Philippine university, with dry seal.
  3. Original + 1 copy of the CERTIFICATE of ELIGIBILITY  for ADMISSION issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Republic of the Philippines, for those admitted in Medicine or Dentistry.
  4. Original + 1 copy of POLICE CLEARANCE issued by the national police authorities of the student's country of origin, authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  5. Original +1 copy of MEDICAL CERTIFICATE with English translation, issued by a qualified doctor authenticated by the Philippine Embassy, with included laboratory results (blood, urine, stool, etc.) and chest x-ray film, attesting to the health and fitness of the student, certifying further that the student has no contagious disease.

Visa to be issued: 9(F) single-entry as Student.

Visa processing fee (non-refundable): US 250 dollars or its equivalent in IRR, subject to change without prior notice.

 

II - Not Yet Admitted by Any University

All foreign visa applicants 18 years old and above who are entering as temporary visitors with the intention to convert their admission status later in the Philippines after acceptance to an accredited university for taking up a long-term, regular degree course shall be required to submit the following documents when applying for an entry visa:

  1. Original + 1 copy of POLICE CLEARANCE issued by the national police authorities of the student's country of origin, authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  2. Original + 1 copy of MEDICAL CERTIFICATE, with English translation issued by a qualified doctor, authenticated by the Philippine Embassy, with included laboratory results (blood, urine, stool, etc.) and chest x-ray film, attesting to the health and fitness of the student, certifying further that the student has no contagious disease.
  3. Original + 1 copy of TRANSCRIPT OF SCHOOL RECORDS with English translation, authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  4. Original + 1 copy of AFFIDAVIT executed by the student's parents and/or education sponsor attesting to guarantee payment of the financial expenses of the prospective student, authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  5. Personal appearance for interview.

Visa to be issued: 9(A) single-entry as temporary visitor.

Visa processing fee (non-refundable): US 40 dollars or its equivalent in IRR, subject to change without prior notice.
